Duplicate around Axis ---- Problem

Hi,

I am facing issues while I do Duplicate around Axis.

I have a created a cylinder for the purpose of dipole and I tried to duplicate around axis to create another cylinder by creating a slot for excitation.

But when I do so, at whatever location I am trying to place the pointer, I am unable to see the slot.

Can you please let me know why it is happening so?

Duplicate around the axis,lets you duplicate your present model item.

you can either do it by using the pointer or by giving the coordinates over which you would like to have the item duplicated.

How does the E-field vector affect the antenna parameters which we use for source excitation?
We use gap_src for all dipole design. If I increase gap_src, then the accepted and radiated power also increases.
How are these related?
Pls explain.

PS: I have attached antenna parameters when the gap_src is increased to 4mm.I have attached Z and S parameters too.
If gap_src is 2mm, then the accepted and radiated power are 0.3 W and when gap_src is increased to 4mm, the accepted and radiated power is as in attached file.
How should I select the gap_src value w.r.t the dipole length?

SO shaik.when you are looking at the impedance of the dipole,its not even close to the value of a dipole.make sure your gap is properly assigned with appropriate dimensions so you get an impedance of close to 73 Ohms.

I have a Q the other way round. If I want to design an antenna resonating with same frequency but I want the gain to be 2dB instead of 6dB, what is the best way to handle the scenario?
 

make you antenna more omnidirectional rather than directional.and if its an planar element use a lossy dielectric
