can any one give the idea for the duality property of CTFT?

you can take an examle of RECT or GATE function.the fourier tranform of rect function is sinc function.
if you take sinc function in time domain then its fourier transform is rect in frequency domain.the nature of the functions are in same in both domain if we interchange the time with frequency.

hey thanks for the example .. can u prove it mathematically??

The proof of this in in Signals and Systems Oppenheim Chp4!
