Dual display Meter has two lines for display. The dual-display can provides more information on the screen. It used in multimeter, calculators, Process Meters & many more.
The DVM only has One input port of the probes , so how can it display two voltages or two different measurements using the dual display? or is the dual display used for something else?
The upper scale reacts much faster to changes in whatever is being measured then the digits do, so if you measure voltage and your voltage is not steady, you are more likely to see fluctuations in the upper scale than you will on the digits.
... and some people simply find an analogue scale more pleasing than a digital scale in some circumstances.
On this meter, both the analogue scale and the digits measure the same thing, though the digits show better resolution.
Or if it is simply two digital displays in one package it could for example be measuring voltage and current simultaneously. They are frequently used in the outputs of power supplies but could be employed anywhere where two readings are needed at the same time in a compact space.
