DSP Algorithms implementation(I need a suggestion)

Hi everybody
I want to Choose a part of a complete Digital Signal processing system to design and implement for one of my graduate course.
Is there anyone has topic suggestion to pursue?
I want to propose this topic or algorithm to my teacher for developing.
I want to apply low power techniques in design of that subsystem,too!
