I taught this lab last semester and I am giving you here some basic DSB-SC (Suppressed carrier Modulation) mathematics, if you can understand the basic idea then there is no problem of implementing it.
Let you have,
x2 = y2 = z2 = 0; and x1 = A cos (ωct) and y1 = A cos (ωmt), where ωc nd ωm are the carrier and modulating frequencies.
Now use the expression; V_out = z2 + (x1 - x2) * (y1 - y2) / A, this will give the following out put expression:
V_out = A cos (ωct) * cos (ωmt) = A/2 * [cos(ωc - ωm)t + cos(ωc + ωm)t ] . this shows that the output contains two Fourier components - the sidebands.
You can construct this circuit by using two multiplier, we used AD534 in our lab.
yes arif you are right. i know abt the mathematics but the problem is wht about the oscillator i.e. how to generate the carrier and the message signal. which oscillators will i require.
