DRC Error - AMIS05 PDK - Metal1 Density Error < 30%

Hello Everyone

When I run DRC, these few errors would always apperar:

1. Metal1, Metal2 & Metal3 density < 30%

It was advised to use dummy metal to solve this problem. But I do not know how to go about going it.

I hope that someone would give me a helping hand.

Check if your foundry (or MOSIS?) will do the dummy metal filling for you, or if they will provide you with the appropriate software tool (e.g. skill routine or DRC rule file).
 

Three options :

1) Foudry will fill it for you .. You can ignore this error at this stage.

2) Some internal scripts to fill the density . Check with CAD teams.

3) Manual Fill : Dummy metal Pcells ( internal to your organisation ) might be available .
