a 220v voltage surge protector when its varistor reaches the end of its useful life or bursts, the surge protector presents a signal indicating the time to replace the varistor

Is it a finding or a question?
I won't expect this feature
1. There's no respective indicator
2. How should it work?
3. The device is apparently not designed for user access to internal parts

Yes, check you can get into it...TMOV by littelfuse will do this , as you know.
