Hi
Suppose we have to design for a 10A output from half bridge converter. We normally use high frequency double diode as rectifier with centre tape secondary. Does we need a 5A+5A (i.e. 5A per diode) double diode for that or a 10A+10A (i.e. 10A per diode) double diode
Using double diode indeed means the full wave rectification. For example if you need 12 volts, you can use either 12+12 volts secondary with 2 diodes, One on each side in forward biased fashion or use 12 volts single winding with a Bridge rectifier.
The current will remain same in both type of rectification. I would recommend using Bridge rectifier. Hope it helps.
