Hi All,

Does Viewlogic's Workview Office V7.5 works on Windows XP?
It works on Windows NT. I have changed my operating system and I could not install it on XP. Am I doing something wrong or XP is not good for it?. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Workview Office

Hi, Tekno1

You must change your envirement variable TEMP=c:\tmp,TMP=c:\tmp,TMPDIR=c:\tmp by "control panel" in window, don't use initial directory for TEMP,TMP,TMPDIR.

Re: Workview Office

Thank you rogerliu

I did not understand what "don't use initial directory for TEMP,TMP,TMPDIR" means.

I have Under User Variables:
TEMP
TMP
TMPDIR
all set to c:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local settings\Temp

and under System Variables:
TEMP
TMP
both set to c:\windows\TEMP

Do I have to change all above to c:\tmp. Is that I should do?

Yes. I have set User variables TEMP, TMP and TMPDIR to tmp and installs under windows XP. Thanks rogerliu. I hit your helped button. Apreciated.

Hi, tekno1

You have to change User Variables only(system variables don't change):
TEMP
TMP
TMPDIR
from c:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local settings\Temp
to c:\tmp ( "tmp" directory is cretaed by yourself)

Re: Workview Office

Hi Roger,

thanks a lot. I tried it already and works.

I have two problem though:

1. everthing worked except ViewDraw hangs starting spoolsv.exe printer spooling tool and hugs %70-90 of CPU resources and nothing happens. I have tried several time re-installing (After through cleaning) but did not worked.

2. I have HSPICE 2005 with flexlm license.lic and workview licence.lic do I have to combine these to files into one? Both have the same name so I had to overwrite HSpice's licence.lic to try WorkView.

thanks in advance.
