se does not support tech under 0.35um ,but if you are a master of se, you can use it to do with most tech.
but to most of designer, recommend to use apollo/astro/socencounter
SE can do 0.13um, just depend on rules by fab, but for desingers on 0.13um, IR drop, Noise, EM and Optical Mask must be seriously considered besides of rules. no single tool inlcude apollo/astro/socencounter can cover all things, but se can do P&R part well down to 0.065um.
Functionally compare:
P&R Tools + Simple Analysis
SE = Apollo = Astro
Astro didn't add much function, but change the name from Apollo can make more money.
SoC floopplan + Synthsis with P&R + Analysis
SoC Encounter = Magma
Synopsys don't have such tools
Advanced Analysis
You MUST use standalone tools for each item.
