Hi all,
does using OFDM increase the data rate?? OR it's just converting the frequency-selective channel into fat-fading channel.
if YES, HOW?? please provide if u have any supporting materials,,

Thanks in advance

OFDM could maximize the rate for a given BER by using something called bit loading, where different subcarriers are modulated using different modulation scheme based on its frequency response.

Search under the title "bit loading" or "OFDM adaptive modulation".

Hi munirp,
OFDM does not support high data rate, it is developed to overcome the cons of FDM (which support high data rate).
This mean that it will maintain the orthogonality between the sub - carrier.
Hope it may helpful .
