Does "Cadence_SOC4.1_for_linux" support Place and Route ?
If not , any other Place and Route solution at Linux platform ?

Place and Route yes, but you will need icc for routing.

But Can't you use nanoroute that's included with SOC 4.1 ???

"Cadence_SOC4.1_for_linux" can support Place and Route. Nanoroute and Wroute all can do this.

Use Place and Route function in SOC4.1, does icc is necessary ?
Which Linux platform is best for SOC4.1 ?
Does "IC5141" support Place and Route ?

The following systems fit best for SOC4.1

Redhat Linux 7.3 and
RHEL 3

IC5141 is anologue design kit which aims to custom design. Although some kind of auto routing tool is integrated in to IC5141, It's not recommended to use it when doing anologue layout design.

Yes! Nanoroute can do routing. 8)
But we have no licencse for it, because our foundary doesn't support it. So I couldn't report you how good this tool is. Comments welcomed!

In SOC package, you can do anything you need in the back-end process, even including synthesis via Ambit.

usually, both nanoroute and wroute can't complete the whole routing job. It require ICC to complete the final route

If I were not wrong, this mentioned ICC is not that one from mentor. This ICC is an old name. The new name is IC5xxx.
