Hello,
I'm using MC33035 and MC33039 to control Brushless 3 phase motor, I made the schematic like figure 39 in the datasheet of Mc33035, but not work (the bottom side AB,BB,CB always OFF if Brake switch Closed and always ON when Brake Switch Opened).
Any suggest? Thanks!

Have you placed the position sensors correctly and checked if outputs are correct.
Try rotating the motor by hand while driving as I am not sure if this circuit will start the motor initially.

yes. I have rotated motor by hand, the Top side is responded correctly with changes of sensor, but Bottom side is not responding with respect to any sensor input.

What is happennig with position sensor outputs? What is placement angle for sensors?

I have measured output of hall sensor, it is ok, angle of sensor is 120 degree. I'm thinking that may be PWM (control Bottom side) is problem...

hey..hi

I'm using the same circuit. In my case all high side outputs are constant zero and all low side outputs change properly with change in hall sensor inputs.
Did you solve your problem? What was the cause of it?

Thank you

Hi AnuJaM,
After check some points to find out problems but it doesn't work, I have sent the question to ON-Semiconductor technical supporter and try some suggestions but still not work. Then, I've used Atmega48 (with BLDC source control from Atmel) instead of MC33035 and works very well.

Im facing the same problem! the fault LED in on, and no switching in any of the transistors. ive checked all the fault conditions mentioned in data sheet but no results, if any one finds any solution please let me know! im stuck in dead end ans need an urgent help. PLZ
