Cadense is too expensive, i am wondering if LEDIT can do the job. Anyone has this (pratical) experience? or any solution to reduce the cost? Thanks

Anyone use Magic to layout?

Actually many companies designing RFIC don't use expensive software like ADS or Cadence.

Hi

you can use LEDIT as a layout editor but extraction for RFIC circuit layout is recemmond to use Zeni by Paragon new tool in market and it is cheaper than cadence.

Hi, thannk you for your info. I just take a look at Zeni, it's cool. My concern is the design kid support from foundries. From the brochure I found that they got limited support, not many.

Yes. Ledit and magic can do this job even for RFIC.

Only layout tool I have seen being used in school and at work (first job) is cadence. I know books use LEDIT but is it any good? I can't tell. Cadence is good if you can afford to access it. Economics dictate.
