Hello all,

I need a good document, ebook about Xwindows, one that can teach me about X in detail. Any suggestions or links?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Ebook about XWindows

buntheun, thanks for your message, but there is a misunderstanding I think. I am not into Windows XP. XWindows is a completely different thing. It is something for running applications across a network on a variety of hardware platforms. Well, at least as far as I know, but I do not know much. That is why I am asking for detailed documents. A good e-book is my preference if possible.

Ebook about XWindows

XWindows or X is the defauld gui or window manager for unix based systems, it's beed around for about two decades (long biffore M$ windows), eny good book on unix or linux covers this topic! what exactly do you wan't to know about it?
Well I'll search my library for X-windows and I'll let you know what I find.
In the meanwhile you can search the linux forumes about X:
gnu.org
kde.org
You can find a lot of resaurces about X on sun's solaris site, on ibm, and hp unix sites.
best regards.
