The TC4422 I am using don't have an enable pin where as most SSTC drivers use gate driver ICs with an enable pin.
They seem to attach an aerial to this enable pin that picks up RF from the seondary coil and shuts the gate driver IC off if it is conducting. I.E. This automatically tunes the SSTC.
But I could add a BJT, with the CE junction in series with either the TC4422 input pin or the output pins and with the base of this BJT acting as the enable pin. As it happens I have a few salvaged Darlington transistors that might do the job.
Can anyone see any problems with this approach?
