Hi all,

We are facing an issue in our display segment. Issue is after placing the display inside the enclosure (with PCB), some of the segments are not working in some boards.

Note: Before placing inside the enclosure, displays are fine and working.

Attached an image of similar display.

Our process is,
1. Component assembly (machine) without display and backlight.
2. Manual soldering Backlight and then Display.
3. Loading firmware.
4. Enclosure assembly.

Anyone have any idea what could be the issue?

Thanks in advance.

If it has a backlight I'm assuming it is an LCD. The most likely reason is the assembly process is slightly distorting the display relative to the PCB so they are no longer exactly parallel to each other. If you are using a zebra strip connector (the usual method) a gap may have appeared on one side or the other of the strip causing signal loss to parts of the display.

Brian.
