If a D cell Nicd has discharged down to 1V.....then from that point, how long does it take for 22uA discharge current to discharge that cell down to 0.8V?

What capacity of battery and what exact manufacturer and battery model ?

D is size of battery and not capacity, and cant tell us exact capacity. Can be 2Ah, 3Ah, 5Ah,....

Try to get datasheet and discharge graph for that battery.

Best regards,
Peter

I think you will have bigger problem with self discharge on longer period.

They give short datasheet informations. Also I didnt find self discharge information data in datasheet.

For sure you need to do some own lab tests.

You can apply general NiCd self discharge values for 10-15% per month at 20C and 20% on higher temperatures + your load of 22uA.

Peter

The discharge curve makes a sharp downward turn at 1.1 V. It becomes 10 or 20 or 30 times more rapid.

To get an idea of a 22 uA drain at that point, you could say it is like a 440 uA drain in the range above 1.1 V.
