Hi everyone,
I want to apply directional filter bank of enhancement of fingerprint.
Can anybody tell me how i will decompose the input image to subband image(analysis state).

thanks

hi tpetar,
I went though the pdfs.I have some doubt.
I want to use directional filter so that i am able to reconstruct and get a enhanced image. For directional filter http://wscg.zcu.cz/wscg2003/Papers_2003/J37.pdf.
What you gave all are for image compression.
My doubts are:
1. Is image compression is related to directional filter ?
2. Is **broken link removed** correct for calculating wavelet transform ?
3. Let my input image is I. From wavelet i will get I1,I2,I3,I4. So i should apply modified SPIHT for all image(I1,I2,I3,I4). Is this correct what i understood ?
4. Please explain me the SPIHT for an input 'IMG'. I am not able to get what are O,D,H in pdf 2.
5. Do you know any better way so that am able to reconstruct a fingerprint image or this is the better way to get an enhanced image ?

thanks in advance.

with regards,
bibhu
