Presented project is a construction of a miniature digital photo frame. The frame has a serial flash memory, so you can save up to 16 images in 16-bit colour depth (which appear in the display in user-specified time interval). The frame also displays the current time and the demo text. You can also adjust the brightness. The frame can be configured by a specially dedicated program on PC (it allows you to upload photos, set the time, adjust the size of the fonts). The frame has a resolution of 132x176 pixels and the display was taken from the Siemens S65. Screen size is about 3 x 4 cm. The housing was made of an aluminum photo frame. The USB connector was mounted in a special way, so it additionally stabilizes the frame (USB plug and cable act as the stand).
The device is powered from a mp3/mobile phone charger. It has a real-time clock maintained by a capacitor. Thanks to that, for the duration of switching the supply from the USB (for configuration) to an external power supply, previously set hour is remembered.
