Hi,

Is it possible to replace the PLL with a digital comparator if all we want is to produce a signal of a certain frequency. Will the phase relationship be lost?

Seems like you're trying hard to post maximum unclear questions, as previously.

In my opinion a digital comparator compares digital signals, e.g. if (a>b). How do sou see it related to signal generation?

Sorry for posting such unclear question, I am thinking whether the guy who make the remark might be thinking of the frequency comparator instead or does he meant the comparator within a frequency synthesizer... even so he might need to throw in some frequency to voltage converter... and some synthesizer

i am rather unfamiliar with this topic(digital)...so I post this up to get some suggestion/direction....

Thanks anyway
