Hi vreddy,

Not sure what you mean by breakdown except destroyed.

Over Voltage Drain to Source
Over current Drain to source
Over voltage gate to source
Body diode over current
Thermal overload die overheats and is destoyed

Thats about all I can think of at the moment. Is this what you need or is there soimething more specific.

mosfet breakdown

excess di/dt and dv/dt also can destroy mosfet. We use snubber for lower its effects.
