hii

can any one tell me what's the difference between power consumption and power density

thnks

Power consumption means amount of power consumed by chip/device or how much power chip/device uses for functionality.
the amount of power it uses it is called power consumption by that chip/device.

Power density is the amount of power per unit volume.
In energy transformers like batteries, fuel cells, motors, etc. Power density refers to a volume. It is then also called volume power density which is expressed as W/m3.

thanks for responding Narendra

Power density as a roll-up for some unit, is a figure of
merit.

Details of power density distribution, are drivers of
thermal design and component / assembly reliability.
