I'm currently experimenting with an application to play MP3 and Video in a GBA SP (GameBoy Advance SP). If i'm using a normal GBA SP flashcart (a TSOP type ROMs which is 256Mbit), the application would terminate abnormally, I haven't try any compact-flash type cartridge yet, someone points out this and says that it's possibly due to the GBA BIOS detecting the "media type" before playing videos/MP3s. Perhaps an explanation on Compact flash file system format and the detection of such a "interface" would be very helpful, also a comparison of this storage standard to USB type flash ROMs, would be very helpful indeed .
