difference between mA and amp!

in some devices u can see the output current is 1 Amp,
and in some u can see 800mA ,8mA!
what is the difference between Amp and mA

A = 1
mA = 1*10 POWER -3 = 0.001A
uA = 1*10 POWER -6 = 0.000001A

YOUR QUEST.
1A = 1000 mA
8 mA = 0.008 A
800 mA =0.8 A
 

Amp is short for ampere,

so

1Amp=1A=1000mA
