What is the main difference between digital signal data packets ?

Are you looking for difference between data packets and digital signals ?

Data packets - is the collection of the data ( information generally in the form of digital) with generally used in protocol ....and having other information like header, footer, CRC ( check sum bits ) etc..... e.g. Data packet in TCP/IP

Digital Siganls - are also a data ( in digital form) but may or may not contain additional information...e.g. ADC output signal

regards,

A digital signal is a physical signal that is a representation of a sequence of discrete values. Digital signal is represented in binary format that can value either 0 or 1. 0 represents low state while 1 represent high state. Combination of 8 bits is called byte. In telecommunication and computer network data is transmitted in sequence of byte called packet i.e data is packed in form of bytes. Packet size depends on the protocol used.
