this is a d/a conversion builded by pure resistors network.
its switchs are controlled by mantissa and exponent
did you have the materials about this kind of d/a
pls tell me the website . thanks .

UPDATE: book is also welcome

hi,i have seen this dac,it is pt8211,,16bit DR ,two channel,
is it?

yes! thanks!
i don't know how the inner DAC work in the similar chip.
this structure maybe is typical and i am interest in it.

i was just a part of that project,so i can't tell everyting of it for you.i suggest you to extract the digital part of the chip.you konw ,after the DATA LATCH ,is FLOAT CONVERSION , i simulate it with MAXPLUSII .this part has 17 ouputs,10 are the mantissa 7are exponent. what ever the input is,the 7bits exponent have a one with six zeros. when it comes to the analog part, you can analyse it with Thevenin theory.it was controlled by the digital part.
hope you get it
