Diaplay problem of IC50 under RH7.2

ic5033 8-bit pseudocolor

I installed IC50 under RH7.2, and run "icfb", there is error message :
" Failed to find either 24-bit TrueColor or 8-bit PseudoColor Visual"

My display card is Intel 82845G Graphics Controller, and in my XF86Configure file the default color depth is 16bit. I tried to change the default color depth to 8bit, can run icfb, but the display is abnormal. And can not run under 24 bit.

I spent much time on this problem, Any body can help ?

Set Display as 8 bit mode

Cadence icfb ony works if your Display is configured for 8 or 24bits
please check in your Linux operating system the Display settings are configured for those options.
