i've designed the supply from the thread we discussed here on edaboard and finally ran 1n5408 based circuit:

https://www.edaboard.com/threads/349641/

We had designed a SIM900 Based Modem board and our application is to upload data using 3G data connection.

the schematic Eagle file is attached here with this.

i am using intex power bank of 11000mAh

now problem arised is like when i insert SIM card ( Vodafone, IDEA) it registered with network when i checked it with AT+COPS? command

the BAND selected is EGSM_DCS_MODE

for one minute it holds the network registration then it disconnect from it. and modem has reset and once it left the network it doesn't connect again until i unplugged from source and plugged it again.

my modem is not in sleep mode

we have interfaced smf05c ic fro SIM card interface.........

i think SIM 900 is going sleep mode and doesn't reponding......

whats the problem.....

had anyone observe my schematic .............. is there any problem with that?????

:thinker::thinker::thinker::thinker::thinker::thinker::thinker::thinker:

Network lost + Reset of modem = Power supply current limitation.
My advice : Use the power supply schematic given by the constructor.
Choose the file called "SIM900 Hardware Design" in **broken link removed**

off topic:
as far I know sim900 doesn't support 3G
