Design of a mini logic analyzer

Hello all,

I'd like to design a mini logic analyzer like the Rockylogic's ant16,
https://www.rockylogic.com/products/ant16.html
for the ant16 itself is too expensive for me (USD333) to buy.

The mini LA may be implemented mainly using a FPGA, and a USB chip, who have such experience? And how about its software design (Windows)?

BTW, is the ChipScope Pro (Internal LA) provided by Xilinx easy to use?

I would suggest to take a look at the open https://www.bitscope.com.

Btw, the chipscope is very easy to use. They provide a eval license for quite long.(3 months if i'm not wrong).
