I am making a modulation FM in to digital signal of 5v and 200kHz.

- When the level is of 5v the modulated signal is of 10'58 MHz
- When the level is of 0v the modulated signal is of 10'81 MHz

I have tested with demodulador TBA120, and works correctly, but this component works until speeds of 56KHz. Somebody can indicate to me I can demodulate the FM signal and obtain speeds of 200KHz?

Thanks.

Re: FM demodulator

Hello IanP,

the problem not is the signal modulation, the problem is the response of the demodulator. Normaly, the demodulators are very used for audio applications and the bandwidth is low (I Need about 200kHz). I am looking for a fast PLL.

Regards!

Re: FM demodulator

I am pretty sure with the NE564 as FM-demodulator you will easily achiev what you want. These IC are sometimes used to demodulate FM modulated video signal where the bandwidth is around 6MHz at the carrier frequency of well above 20MHz..

Re: FM demodulator

NE564 is OK. If you are in doubt try to use NE568. It demodulates up to 150MHz carrier and the demodulated bandwidth is up to 10MHz.
