Hello all, I need to find the phase of electric field on the aperture of a horn antenna. So, some virtual E probe should be defined on the aperture of it. How can I do that?
HFSS does not use field probes. You can use the field calculator to extract field data at a point. Or, you can draw a non-model line or plane in your simulation on the horn aperture, and observe the fields on these structures.

Thank you for your response. I managed to find the electric phase and magnitude on a non-model line, but unfortunately, I couldn't do that for a surface. I fact, I want to find the phase distribution of electric field on the aperture of a conical horn antenna(as shown in the image). I would appreciate your help.
I believe the process is to calculate the quantity in the field calculator (e.g., mag(phase(E))), save it as an expression, and then plot the calculator expression on the surface. The surface may need to be a modal object, which would require re-running your simulation.
