Debate on free antivirus

Hi everybody
Please your on comment regarding which is the free antivirus ?
why don't people like free antivirus ?
I think Most of the guys are using cracked antivirus .But this type may have problem .please share which will help to all

Non of antivirus software packages is 100% proof ..
Try free-versions of AVAST or AVIRA - both are widely used and seem to fulfil basic anti-virus functions ..
