I'm currently prototyping such a design, as a Forward topology.
Got the primary running at 8AMPs ok, but switching mosfet needs more
heatsink atm.
The In voltage may vary between 10V and 14.2V,
actually it would be good if it works down to 9V or less.
Output must be well regulated at set voltage 15-18V

But I want more current and more efficiency.
So been looking for other designs.
I noticed LM5035, then thought, um half-bridge, err would be difficult to have capacitors
handing a ripple current of 20Amps+, right ?

then I also seen a doc with this circuit as below, no writeup about it,but
the circuit looks like minimal parts,
but how to design those inductors/transformers for the synchronous rectifiers,
there is not much app notes to be found on LM5035 yet....

I would also be interested in any other chip recommendation to do this, thanks.

has anyone seen any article about DIY those mosfet Gate driving transformers in
synchronous rectifier as like diagram above?

currently thinking some small toroid 10mm or less ?
but what material, ? N87 ?
