Hi,
i'm looking for a buck converter or other kind of regulated dc/dc converter able of mantaining a constant output voltage of 48V, with a 40V to 60V input Vcc, and an output current programming pin able to source up to 1A.

Is there any IC (Linear Tech or Texas) that satisfies these requirements?

Is it possible to realize it?

Any ideas or help will be useful!!!

Thanks a lot

Hi,

You know about linear technology...
Why don't you use their website with online switch mode regulator selection guide.

Just put in your parameters and see what happens..

Other manufacturers also try to sell their devices and will assist you..

Rather than a buck converter, you are looking for a buckboost.

It inverts the supply voltage, however. But that shouldn't matter, unless it conflicts with other power sources.

Hi,

Yes, or look for SEPIC, either wit a two windings coil, or a capacitive stage...

One additional benefit on choosing some Linear Technology product is the freeware simulator LTSpice available there which contains on its library several devices for this manufacturer, allowing quickly check performance.of the circuit in details.
