Below is the buck converter that I have designed.

I've like to have some inputs/feedback on the components and design of the 12V to 5V Buck converter.

Buck converter datasheet 47uH inductor datasheet
Load current on 5VDC is 1.1A max.
Considering an efficiency of 86%, the input current is 515mA.
Please let me know whether the design is fine or needed to improve on the schematic side.

What is "AL-F" capacitor series? Microchip evaluation board uses 330 uF tantal in parallel with 10 uF ceramic, low ESR aluminium electrolytic should work as well.

Hi,

SS35 has higher forward voltage, thus higher power dissipation.
Why did you not use the SS34 like in the datasheet?

Part selection is one thing, but you also need a suitable PCB layout to get the expected performance.
