Hi all,

Are you using which tool to design your ASIC project?
what's advantage of this tool ?

:)

dc is more used in the industry than synasic...

cadence has g2c, a new syn tool, but dc have most users.
for ic, dc is most popular. for fpga/epld, synplify(fpga) is better.

Synplicity ASIC is a new syn tool for ASIC synthesis. But DC is so popular in IC industry, so in order to compete with DC, synplicity ASIC maybe has its specilities.

Although DC is so popular, we still can use Synplify ASIC for
prototyping parameter, like die size, pad limit or core limit,
routing condition, worst slack path.... :p

hi,all
before 2004, g2c is the best synthesis tool . and now dc 2004.06 is is also good as g2c rtl compiler.
I think they are both good , but dc is most popular than others

I think DC is better than synplify ASIC.

why? who can prove it?

Hi all,

Who used the Synplify ASIC and DC to design ASIC and tap out?
In feature how to compare them...

can synplify used for standard cell based ASIC, i thought it is only suitable for FPGA. am I wrong?

Synplify ASIC for ASIC Design
SynplifyPro for FPGA Design
