how can i send data like simple characters from my mobile to microcontroller through bluetooth ?

Is there any application for mobile to send the characters to the microcontroller ?
can u tell the interfacing between the mobile bluetooth and bluetooth module in microcontroller kit.
 

What kind of phone and what microcontroller kit?
 

LG Android 698 model and i am using PIC16F877A microcontroller interfaced with sparkfun bluetooth transceiver.

To send characters to the bluetooth module to the microcontroller kit. I have to create any app for that ?
Is there already any application for android to send data.
Basically i am electronic student, I dont know how to create applications, can u give me any idea to send characters from mobile bluetooth to microcontroler kit..
If i receive the characters from the bluetooth module i will do my further process.
Just i want to know how to send characters from mobile bluetooth.

haai... i searched in google and found an application regarding the serial port access by using our android mobile.
The app is BLUETERM, by using this app we can send data serailly to the bluetooth module.
I am not sure about it will work. If anybody have an idea regarding this, please explain me procedure for sending data..
