DATA I/O Model 10 programmer Schematic or a place to buy?

I need schematic of DATA I/O Model 10 programmer to build and read my old IM5200CJG chip content. Anyone by any chance might have it to share or might have similar programmer schematic which could be able to read this chip?

Also if anyone knows where to buy this programmer? Couldn't find in Ebay.

Forget the idea of building a Data I/O programmer. Even if you could find a schematic, it will be highly dependant on the software it needs to work; it probably uses PALs for which you won't have the contents and these were complicated beasts which cost more than a new car. Even if you found a second hand one you would have to be sure the software would support the device.

You could contact Data I/O and see if they can recommend something which could read the device.

Otherwise, my suggestion is to reverse engineer its function as I said in your other thread. It is not a very complicated chip.

I is not complicated but I am not the one could do it. I know little electronics. It just happened I involved with this problem and have to solve it.
I emailed DATA I/O to see what they will suggest.

I bought Data I/O programmers in the 1980s and think they were complex and highly software dependant, although I cannot remember the exact model numbers. The device you are wanting to read is an anti-fuse technology (like 'zener zapping'), not like an EPROM. If you had the full specification for the device it would probably not be too difficult to design something to read it but that data isn't in the datasheet. Maybe you could find that out from Intersil.

Some one said it is easy to extract the "function" of this chip using a micro. He said you need to write a program for micro to set logic table in the chip inputs and read outputs and extract chip function Then replace the chip with a micro controller to do the job or program the function into another popular chip I can find its programmer in the local market using that programmer. Is this confirmed? If so is there any similar project I can have a look and learn how to do this?

I have already suggested that solution twice. Either use a micro or CPLD to deduce the logic function. It cannot be too complicated because the device is simple. The other way is to hook a logic analyser up to it when it is in the board and operating but you would have to be sure that you can stimulate all modes of operation if you take that approach.

I prefer to use micro but never have done this. Need to have a look at such a micro project to learn the steps and procedure. Any similar project around?

I would probably use a PIC Explorer 16 board and simply add a socket for the PAL on a prototyping board, but that is because I do a lot of PIC24 work - any microcontroller would do provided it has enough I/O lines.

I checked the links. Too complicated for me. No time and courage to go through all these stuff. Besides my job is different and I only want to make a backup of this chip in case something happened in the course of my work not to loose the instrument. I have to pay someone to do the job for me and do all the designs and send me PCB. I can build the PCB and deduce the logic function as he will instruct. Then I he/she should tell me how to program the replacement chip. If anyone is interested please let me know. I really hope find someone to hep me with this.

What equipment is the chip used in? Where in the world are you? As I said, I would simply put a socket on development board for the Explorer 16 and write some C code to run through all the logic permutations - it is not a big job. While I could do it, it depends on where you are and how much money is available to do this. If you are interested, send me a PM. I am sure there are lots of other people on this board who could also do it for you, depending on which country you are in.

Finally I did read logic permutations outputs from the device. Now it is just start of the problem. What should I do with all these numbers. I have address ----> data format text file saved in teh computer. Now I need stepwise help to show me the road map how to get there.
