is there any difference between the current transformer and current transducer?
in term of what?

Current transducer can either refer to a passive transformer or an active electronic device, e.g. a compensating hall-effect current sensor.

tq for the answer..
but can u explain further about the function of the current transducer..i've read some info on current transducer but not really understand..

Sounds somewhat like "I don't know what I'm asking for"...

You may want to place a specific question. There's plenty of manufacturer's information, e.g. at www.lem.com.

ok...but before that,if i don't manage to get the current transducer, is it possible if i replace it with the current transformer?...basically i need to take the current from the ac supply and step down it to 5A..

For AC measurements, a current transformer is usually a good solution.
