current spike boost
Hello,
I am doing a boost converter with Vin = 13.5V.
The output will be 8 series LEDs carrying 300mA.
The PCB for this circuit is very small so I need to use a LED driver with an on-chip FET.
-Of course, this in turn means that I have no access to the gate of the FET in order to slow down the FET gate transition time, in order to improve the EMC situation.
-the EMC problem is caused by the huge spike of reverse current which comes through the boost diode, and through the switch as the switch turns ON.
Here is the FET current , showing the huge spike of current…….
How may I get round this problem and stop these spikes of current from occurring?
