I want to know which technic of current sense is most suitable for the current mode DC/DC converter. This DC/DC is used for portable application and require to have standby mode!

HI guys,

I am not sure that this project is any good for you. This project shows how to measure DC current (in the car) using a cheap Hall effect device and a ferrite core.

Your question is not very clear.
If you are referring to how you sense the current in order to implement current mode control, then, depending on the power level, cost and control IC, you can choose between simple resistive sense and current transformer.

Please be more specific.

The DC/DC is used for mobilephone and it is implemented in a single chip

It converts the 3.6v battery voltage to 1.8v

The nomal operation load current is range from 50~200mA, when it comes to the standby mode, the load current required to output is only 100uA

I am designing a current mode CCM DC/DC, I donot know how to implement the current sense circuit suit for that application.
