Hi,

I am testing an inverter and when I measure the output load resistor voltage using voltage probe the output is sinusoidal on the oscilloscope. But when I use a current probe to see the current through it has a lot of high frequency noise. Why does the current probe show a lot of noise when the voltage probe shows smooth sinusoidal?

Thanks

There are two possible explanations:
- the voltage probe has a lower bandwidth
- the current probe is picking up interferences (respectively "noise")
