current power amplifier

hi all

Please help me, im currently working on an active magnetic bearing (AMB) project on which im required to design a current power amplifier and its control circuit:

the specifications are: 40-60Vdc input
5A continuous & 10A peak
Red LED=2kHz & Green LED=1kHz

control circuit: 1volt to 1A output increase in amplifiers output

Re: current power amplifier

greetings

thank very much for replying to my email. could you please eleborate more, what is LM12 or LM3886?

Regards

If you know google, you wouldn't have to ask...

They are Natioal Semiconductor power amplifiers. You have to add a current control loop however. And I wonder, how LED colours are related to a current amplifier?

Re: current power amplifier

Is it possible to use a PID controller to control the Current power Amplifier via a PWM generator? for current control loop, i will use a currrent transducer which will feed the actual current to my PID controller for any necessary rectifications. is it wise to do so?

Thanks[/img]
