help needed for MSP430

hi,
im using micro-controller MSP430F1121 ,135 and 149 from TI. just now im doing current measurement for MSP430F149 with MSP-FEt430F140 evaluation kit .In LPM4 mode we found its consuming 5.6 to 6.3 uA current. I found that MSP430F135 consuming 5.6 to 6.3 uA current. But if Im using the same source code to test MSP430F1121 it consumes 0.1uA current. Im not gettin wats the difference.
Steps used in source code.....
1. Stop watch-dog timer.
2. Interruts are enabled.
3. Set LPM4 mode.

i need help asap.
thanx in advance.
bye

Hi

If you read the datashett you will see that micro-controller MSP430F149 and MSP430F135 have 512B RAM, the MSP430F1121 have 256B RAM.

The 149 and 135 devices need more current.

Best regards
Pendragon

MSP memory

Hi, pendragon,

You are wrong:
MSP430F149 has 2kB RAM

yes ur righ its RAM is bigger one. but in LPM4 mode current consumption should b about 0.1 - 0.2 uA. it should not xceed.
for more info check MSP430F149 or 135 datasheet page 39.
please tel me the solution
bye

or if u have erady code to test LPM4 then can u send me

try this

change all unused pin to output.

reset and unallow all module

after reset stop all module,ie. TA and TB, you will find the consume smaller.
because the number of 135/149's module more than 1121.
note: must stop module with soft

Did you finally fix the consumption problem?

I'm telling this because I have to decide between one of those micros and FETs for my batery powered proyect:

430F112A
MSP-FET430x110

or

430F1122 / 1232
MSP-FET430P120
