I am looking for information about a literary analysis technique that forms a square matrix of letter pair frequencies. The name is similar to the one I used in the topic title. This method of determining document authorship is supposedly so accurate that it is accepted as evidence in the court system. It was invented a decade or two ago by someone in Scotland possibly named C. F. Jones.

Does anyone have any links or book titles about it?
