Hi everybody,
i have a problem defining my structure in CST MWS. I need to model a cylindrical resonator with a hybrid boudary condition: PEC condition on the lateral boundary and PMC condition conductor on the base faces.
As long as I know, this software uses always a brick background that one can fill with a PEC or a user defined isotropic material. Therefore, i cannot model exactly my structure unless I use a rectangular base structure when dealing with PMC: on the boundary of the structure I practically have an open condition and not a PMC.
It's sounds quite strange for me and I cannot think that this is a limit of the SW, so there surely must be a way to do this, that I do not know.
So, please, does anybody know the solution to my problem?
Thank you a lot for any help.
Bye

Sorry, the structure has a PEC boundary on the base faces and a PMC condition on the lateral boundary.
I wrote the countrary in my first post!
Sorry for the mistake
