hi, everyone. I have a question about the CST MWS. Are there any ways to plot the axial ratio of the antenna at a specified angle as a function of frequency? If so, do I need to setup the far field monitors for the frequencies before the simulation? Thanks.
yes you need to setup the far field frequency monitors for the desired range before the simulation begins. after simulation u can use post processing templates to generate the required figure. i hope it helps

Hello Friends,
Axial ratio actually gives the ratio of Major axis/ to the minor axis , and its value determines whether our antenna is CP or LP. if the ratio is unity then the Antenna is circularly polarized.
In HFSS we can determine the polarization using the direction of surface current where as in CST MWS the far field tab gives the axial ration direct. The resonant frequency value is to be noted if its less than 3db its circularly polarized or else LP.
We can help you further to plot the axial ration of an antenna at a specified angle as function frequency . for furthe info contact
Great Yasir CSt 2012 is amazing . I can specifically help you plotting the axial ratio if you give me an idea as of what work you are doing and what is your requirements.. This would really help
Thanks Opzetlabs , I need " axial ratio " to detemine the polarization states (CP , LP), and the plot with all frequencies is prefered, I can plot the axial ratio vs angle , but I need to plot "Axial-ratio vs freq".
can you plz explain your answer about cst axial ratio plotting???in post processing i found axial ratio but how to draw it against frequency?if any one has sort out this issue plz share.
