The procedure of denoising is very actual when processing variou signals. It may be done with wavelet algorithms, EMD, Fourier analysis, etc. I'm interested in so-called quality criterions, which help us judge, how well denoising has been done.

Among such criterions are:

1) Signal-noise ratio;
2) Mean square difference between initial and denoised signals

I wonder, are there any other criterions, which can characterize denoising procedure?

With respect,

Dmitrij
