hi, tanx 4 ur reply .But i don't need the ipcore which already exists.i'm told to code the vhdl code for trignometric functions using cordic algorithm.i cant use the ipcore.

That sounds like a pretty big assignment. I'm not smart enough to help with that There should be lots of information about the algorithm on the web. Good luck.
